This beautiful painting is called ‘Hope’ and represents the Second Coming of Jesus!
The rising sun represents Jesus, and the woman in white represents the Church, awake, and watching for His arrival. Though the dim surrounding hills and forest represent the state of the world at the time of the Lord’s return, this is by no means a depressing painting! It carries the message of HOPE.
Jesus said that when things reach the worst, then it is our time to LOOK UP.
And I define the word ‘hope’, by the Greek definition in the Bible. It means EXPECTATION, CONFIDENCE, or to ANTICIPATE with pleasure!
